The story was so slow to get to the main feature, jagging off onto psychic images and being very disjointed, that I had to slog through the book and make myself read it to get to the end just because I bought it and wanted to finish the book.The synopsis does not prepare the reader to have to wade through 3/4 of the story devoted to the main characters psychic visions. I would be very careful about buying another book based on this character by this author.

The author uses an artist's eye, a psychologist's insight and a poet's language to describe the scenes and people in this novel. Reminiscent of Mary Stewart's suspense novels, the story unfolds almost magically until the dramatic climax.
I can't wait for the next Jasmine Black mystery! Karen Lynn did an excellent job writing this book and it is hard to believe this was her first book. I would love to see the book in print so I can have a hard copy to share. Keep writing Karen, you are very talented!
